Install the Shoutcast DSP Plugin into your winamp - Get it here

After installing the Shoutcast source DSP plugin, go into your Preferences,

then under DSP/Effect under Plug-ins, click on Nullsoft SHOUTcast

Source DSP. Click Configure Active Plug-in at the bottom

.

Click on the "output" tab in the new window. There will be two buttons inside it,

Connection and Yellowpages. Click on Connection. Under address, type in

britfra.gs Under port, type 8080. Under password, type tea

Click on Yellowpages. In description type [IRC Name]. Under URL type

[whatever]. Repeat for Genre and IRC.

Click on the Encoder tab at the top. Under encoder type, make sure

MP3 Encoder is selected. Under Encoder Settings, pick a reasonable rate.

Make sure this is set no higher than 96kbps.

Click on "Input" tab. Make sure input device is set to Winamp

Now go back to the Output tab, and hit the Connect button. Once it is

connected, play music. Your music will now be broadcast to everyone

connected to the server.

Make sure you leave the box open or it wont stream

NiceCast Tutorial

Install the Nicecast app.

Set up the server, the server window should open on first install however

if not click show server

Which will open the below window:

Enter the details as seen above (password - tea)

Now go the main window

Click on select, this will open a drop down menu and select the application

you wish to use as an audio source

Click on the info button, this is the stream info.

Enter your name, the genre and any other info you wish to share with the

listeners as below

Click on share. This is where you will find the link to the stream is created.

It also has a handy check stream button that allows you to check the

broadcast while on air.

Go back to source, click advanced and make sure your channels are set up

correctly.

Mine are coming in via a type of DI box so mine are set to 1 and 2

– yours should be set to default unless you are using a different set up.

Once you have clicked ok you are ready to go.

Bewarned though, the application will close and re launch the source

application when you click broadcast unless you install the instan

t hijack aplication. That’s it. Your live.

Download SAM broadcaster on

http://www.spacialaudio.com/products/sambroadcaster/download.html

Double click on the file and install.

If you don't want install Mysql, select the "FireBird" Version, it's very easy.

Open SAM broadcaster and setup your copy like below

On SAM broadcaster select the menu "Windows" and select "Encoder"

Click on "add new encoder".

In the next window select MP3 (normal) and click ok

Then select your bitrate (96 kbs)and put the general options as shown.

(Do not select "auto reconnect")

Click on the server details and fill it in, the password is - tea

Then click ok and stream some music!
